Father's Day

For the past few months, Noah has been busy with his latest grad class (along with working full time!); however, the pace really picked up toward the end of the quarter when he was working on his final project (the first couple weeks in June). Keira and I were so excited when he finished his class right before her birthday party--she finally had her Daddy back and I had my hubby back! The best part is that he has the summer off from school, so we're looking forward to lots of family time together!

For Father's Day, we enoyed having him all to ourselves to celebrate the awesome Dad that he is!! We started off the morning with a special request for french toast, sausage, and eggs before heading off to church. Then, after Keira's nap, we enjoyed a full day of fun! The pictures below tell the rest of the story...

After presents, it was off to the Birch Aquarium!

Later that evening, we met up with my extended family who were in town to celebrate my cousin's graduation. Can you guess where we ate dinner??

The graduate!
Congrats, Ashley, on earning your Master's Degree!

Baseball, Animals, and Water

The gorgeous late spring/early summer weather has afforded us many opportunities to get outside, which Keira absolutely loves! Here is a sampling of pictures from our recent outings in America's Finest City (aka San Diego)!

First Padres game!
Noah having fun with his new camera and many lenses!

Happy that she's gotten her hands on the camera!

Rooting for the home team!

Keira and I took an outing to the zoo with some other moms and babies from our baby sign class. After the zoo tour was over, we headed over to the petting zoo to check out the animals!

I think we have an animal lover on our hands!

First time on the skyfari! Not so sure about this...

Enjoying walking around on her own!

That's a big polar bear!

Time for a snack break!

Finally, our playgroup met at a splash park for some outdoor fun in the water. Here she is hanging out with her baby friends!

Wow, what is this place?!

Fun!

Always chewing!

Thank You, Wardrip Aunts!

Dear Fenwicks, Moists, and Wannenwetsches,

Wow, you sure know how to find some great toys!!! I am loving my new vacuum and the best part is that it actually sounds like a real vacuum! I also love the alligator chomper and I am getting pretty good at turning it around myself when I run out of room going one direction. Thanks so much for the fun birthday toys!

Love,
Keira
xoxo

Oh wait, Mommy is trying to take a picture, so that means I have to try to grab the camera!

The "Actual" Birthday!

Keira's actual birthday was on a Tuesday. Noah was able to take the day off work and Grandma Sheila was still in town to join in the festivities! We started our day at the San Diego County Fair! Although it was hectic trying to get in (it was the $3 discount day, thus, lots of people were there!), our day at the fair was lots of fun!

Keira loves animals, so here we are checking out the real, live sheep!
Pig races!

Fun with the birthday girl!

Although Keira wasn't quite tall enough to meet the height requirement, the ride attendant let us on the train anyway!

Keira had so much fun, she cried when we had to get off!

Goats at the petting zoo

So fun!!

Nana Sheila got Keira that sweet water table in the background!

Giving her Nana a "thank you" hug!

Wow, this is cool!

Bubbles, always a favorite!

I love to be outside!

And we capped off the day with a Hullabaloo show!

I'd say she's having fun, wouldn't you?!

She loves music!

Happy Birthday, Keira!!
