Preschool Adventures!

I have to admit that sometimes I get tired of running out the door every Tuesday morning for Mommy & Me preschool (the class is from 8:45-10:45). Some mornings, I'd just like to take it slower and maybe skip school. Don't worry, I wouldn't REALLY skip school (although we had to miss one class this session when Keira was sick), but my attitude quickly changes each time we arrive at school and I get to share the joy Keira experiences during class. I am amazed each week by the fun and creative activities, enthusiasm of the teachers, and the way Keira is learning, growing, and participating more and more each week. I truly am thankful for this opportunity!!!

One of Keira's favorite outside activities is the tricycles! She is learning how to pedal, although she still needs help with steering. She is also very bummed when the trikes aren't out (they rotate toys/activities frequently).

This morning's theme was "messy play" and somehow I managed to miss that announcement the week before! Thankfully, I dressed Keira in clothes she could get completely messy in, so she got to have a ball with all the activities. By the end of this activity, her shirt was covered in shaving cream!

Poking holes in the paper with a golf tee!
Who thinks of these activities?! She loved it!!

I think this was the first time she has ever gotten free reign on a computer keyboard!
So fun!!

Hello, Grammy?

Okay, I can definitely see my mom and me in that facial expression!
Scary!!

She was a lot more excited about these necklaces than this picture portrays!

Dancing with ribbons-yeah!

This week, Keira had lots of fun with all the cute Valentine themed activities!
Look at that hot pink play-doh!

She and Cameron were having fun hiding the kitties in the play-doh!

What do these bottles do?

Shake them up to hear the different sounds inside!

Matching hearts game

Matching heart shapes--she's so proud of herself!

Decorating a Valentine

Cornstarch+water+food coloring=bliss!

Keira LOVED doing the motions to the Tommy Thumb song!
