Hello, Daddy?
Fun in the sandbox!
What a fun day at Friend School!!
At Mommy & Me preschool this week, I only took a few pictures so that I could really focus on interacting with Keira during all the activities. The theme was "sponges" and there were lots of fun activities using sponges like painting with sponge balls, squeezing water from sponges into a big bin, and stringing sponges on a pipe-cleaner. It has been fun to see Keira get used to the routine and do things independently. At circle time, the kids have the option of sitting on the carpet line in front of the teacher or in their mom's lap. She loves sitting on the line and watches the teacher's every move. In this class, she even participated in imitating hand-motions during the songs (she usually just watches). She also loves to sit at the snack table with her peers while I'm across the room for the discussion time and then she runs to me so proudly when she's done with snack.
Here are a couple pics from this week:
She LOVED this geoboard!
This week, Friend School was at our house! Unfortunately, 2 of our friends were gone (50% of our class), so it made for a very low-key morning.
The theme was THANKFULNESS with a little bit about Thanksgiving thrown in. This is a lofty/intangible concept for 2-yr-olds, but definitely something all of us moms wanted to introduce.
Unfortunately, I don't have many pictures from the morning since I was teaching and there weren't any extra hands to snap pictures. One activity we created was a "thankful tree" which I'll be posting about soon.
T is for Thanksgiving!
The fine motor activities were a big hit!
Snack time!
It was another great day at Friend School!
